Helen Chambers is an abstract artist graduating from Winchester School of Art in 1995 with a BA Hons in Printed Textile design. Following her degree Helen spent over two decades working in the fashion industry creating the artwork for printed clothes. During lockdown, her interest in painting started to develop and she took several online art courses. She now exhibits regularly through online platforms and galleries and her work is held in private collections in the UK and internationally.
Helen’s work is rooted in abstraction, inspired by the natural world, memory, and personal experience. Using layered textures and vibrant mark-making, she explores the interplay between spontaneity and control. Through layered paint, mark-making and texture, she explores light and dark allowing each piece to evolve naturally. Inspired by nature’s beauty and its ever-changing forms, she creates spaces that invite reflection and emotion.
At Yes! Art, Helen will be showing a collection of abstract paintings using acrylic, pastel and graphite inspired by the landscape, plants and flowers. She will have a range of sizes available, from small paper pieces framed in mounts together with small framed paintings and larger canvases.
