Daria Shipukhina was born in Moscow. She is an artist who works with mixed media focusing on new ways of applying materials, such as raw pigments and charcoal, conventionally for use in painting. Daria combines her training in academic drawing and painting with the freedom of pure gestural abstraction. She is a member of ArtCan and exhibits in group shows in London. The topic of her artistic practice is nature and its transient state. Working with subject matter such as landscapes and florals, she creates artworks rich with textures and lines, the use and quality of which is especially important for the visual narrative.

"Contemporary Flower Reading" is inspired by the intuitive process of interpreting nature’s colors and forms. Painted in acrylic, it presents flowers in an abstract manner, where bold color fields replace defined petals and stems. This approach allows the viewer to "read" the blooms emotionally. Charcoal lines weave through the composition like ancient roots or unseen energy, connecting each bloom in a rhythm of transformation. This piece explores nature’s primal beauty, evoking a sense of timelessness and the origins of life itself.
