2024-25

Carl Reader’s work is gestural and intuitive, embracing chance and accident in colour and mark making so that the image encompasses something intangible but sensitive. He has held solo exhibitions and participated in group shows including the Terrace Gallery, Candid Arts and Holy Art Gallery.

Carl will be showing part of a series focused on mental and physical responses to trauma. Layers are built, altered, erased and reworked to make the physicality of the paint raw, but still delicate and sensuous.
