About the event

In Yanire Sylva Delgado’s home country of Ecuador, seals, or stamps, have long been used to adorn the body for celebrations and to decorate walls, fabrics and everyday objects with beauty and intention. Elsewhere, they have been used for protecting documents, labelling and decorating.

In this hands-on workshop, Yanire invites you to carve your ceramic stamps on leather-hard clay. Together, you’ll explore the history and symbolism of these tools and materials and create pieces that reflect your own stories, patterns and marks.

Each participant will receive a beautifully curated package that includes:

- Two ready-to-carve ceramic stamps (5 cms dia approx)

- A handcrafted box to safely transport your pieces home

- A tablecloth to enhance the carving experience and connect us to the creative ritual
