Xuan Hoang is an abstract artist working with oil paint. She studied an Art and Design FDA course at Chelsea College of Art before graduating from Central Saint Martins with a BA in Graphic Design in 2010. Since then, Xuan has carved a career as a Creative Copywriter within advertising while balancing her time as an artist.

Xuan’s paintings are a free-flowing expression of the imaginary and the joy of colour, creating abstract worlds that are inspired by nature, light, and the subconscious.

From oil paintings on paper to oil paintings on linen canvas, Xuan's paintings dance between abstraction and representation. Her unique marks are meticulously applied with tiny brushstrokes creating miniature worlds of carefully blended tone that are full of movement and texture. These marks act like fragments, gently sculpting an abstract expressionist language which is influenced by light, the natural world and the subconscious mind.

Xuan’s participation in Yes! Art 2025 has been kindly sponsored by Walthamstow Estate agent Settle East as part of Yes! Arts ‘sponsor an artist' scheme.

Being part of the inaugural event at the William Morris Gallery was a truly rewarding experience. I’m very excited to be back and to have the opportunity to share new work with a much larger audience at the Big Penny Social.
