Tony Blackmore attained a first class BA (Hons) in Fine Art Sculpture from Kingston University in 1993. Since 2018, he has been represented by Cube Gallery, London, and in the same year became a Member of the Royal Society of Sculptors.

Tony creates hand-folded reliefs created from a process of scoring, cutting, folding and stitching together layers of photographic lighting gels topped with a layer of drafting film; a polyester film traditionally used for architectural drawings.

Each stage is undertaken by hand to create a seamless surface whose colours appear to change as the angle of light changes. Using analogue numerical sequencing as a basis for his compositions, the shapes within appear to change and evolve as they travel across each artwork’s relief surface.

Tony will be selling a selection of these with prices starting from £395 (including frame). He is also available to discuss commissions.
