Thomas MacGregor (b.1976) Is a figurative painter and curator. He received his BA from Edinburgh College of art in 1999, studied at Turps Art school on the studio programme 2018-2020 and was awarded the Turps/Darbyshire award for emerging Art in 2020.
He was a contestant on Sky arts ‘Portrait artist of the year’ for two years running In 2019 and 2020 and was a finalist of the Sky arts ‘landscape artist of the year’ in 2021.
While based in Edinburgh as an ECA undergraduate he was a founding member of the stand comedy club. He painted the cowboy logo, which is now widely used in all clubs and has had work on show there since the late nineties. Thomas was shortlisted for the young masters art prize 2025 with the Cynthia Corbett Gallery.
Thomas will be selling a selection of work from the last five years of his practice including a variety of paintings, prints and etchings.
