Mixed media

Sylvietta is a mixed media artist trained in fine arts in Italy. She responds to whatever's in front of her , whether is a landscape, portrait, or still life, with a playful approach to materials weaving into them new stories. Through workshops and art classes, she shares her love for mixed media collage, inspiring others to find their own creative voice.

For this exhibition, Sylvietta presents a series of canvas and wood paintings created during her summer residency at an animal sanctuary in Lanzarote. Deeply inspired by the island's extraordinary landscape, her larger pieces capture the sea, the land, and the iconic stone walls. She uses ground lava from the volcanic island to embed into her work together with bits of beach debris collected on-site. Some pieces were made partly on the beach and finished in her art studio.
