Lauren Little is an artist, curator, and educator, born in London. Working across collage and painting, her practice is shaped by a love of cutting things apart and putting them back together. A process that reflects her fascination around change, resilience and the spaces in between. She is also the founder of Dark Yellow Dot, a platform supporting emerging artists through providing exhibitions and creative opportunities.

In this body of work, Lauren uses hand-cut paper collage to pull apart and rebuild portraits. Shapes are cut away and shifted, creating tension between what’s visible and what’s missing. The spaces in between; the gaps, the overlaps, the edges, carry as much weight as the image itself. Through this process, she explores that unsettled place between feeling whole and feeling undone, and the quiet act of piecing oneself back together.
